“Laura’s Hour”
Finalist in the Educational Centers Short Film Category at the 8th FICNOVA (2026).
Laura is a school nurse who visits our secondary school once a week—and only for an hour. During that time, she works with students on various health-related topics. But today, her visit goes beyond routine prevention and counseling.
The FICNOVA international jury—comprising nonviolence activists from various cities in Argentina, Chile, Spain, and Mexico—has selected 34 films from 11 countries as finalists competing for awards in this 8th edition, across four categories.
In all these works, we recognize not only a denunciation of various forms of violence and discrimination but also—in each instance—different paths or ways to overcome or positively transform those situations, opening up the future in a nonviolent direction.
With this motto we start the preparation of the 8th International Film Festival of Active Nonviolence 2026, FICNOVA.
