Synopsis:
An audiovisual work that documents the work of different women’s organisations working in El Salvador and Honduras, giving them a first-person voice. They are the ones who speak of the reality they suffer when they are denied the Right to Abortion. It also portrays the cases of 4 women whose rights were violated: 2 of them were convicted and imprisoned for homicide when they went to the hospital for having suffered obstetric emergencies and miscarriages. Two others tell how they had to face the dangers of going underground. All this draws a choral map that describes the situation of prohibition and control and the social injustice that this implies.

Acknowledgment:
FICNOVA recognises in the film the effort to denounce the monstrously discriminatory treatment of women in Honduras and El Salvador on the issue of abortion, especially those who are the poorest. The documentary is an example of human dignity in the face of institutionalised barbarism.
