FICNOVA recognises in the film the effort to show the roots of discriminatory treatment of women in the most deeply rooted traditions of the people. Thus the polygamy of men over women is considered legal, not the other way round. So it is not polygamy that is normalised but the possessive, objectifying treatment of women.
