‘Refugee Women on Stage’
Short Film Finalist at the 8th FICNOVA 2026
The Collective of Refugee, Exiled and Migrant Women, founded in 2004 in Alicante, has become a leading voice in raising awareness of the struggles of Colombian women human rights defenders in exile. Among the many tools they use to analyse their cross-border reality, theatre stands out, particularly through the play *Mujeres Eres*. Theatre as a healing art, which, following the principles and techniques of the Theatre of the Oppressed, seeks to bring to light their grief, their strengths and their reinventions as women, social leaders, exiles and, quite simply, survivors.
